Queens got 25.6 inches of snow in the Blizzard of '03

" Elsewhere in the city, the totals were higher. In Queens, 25.6 inches at Kennedy International Airport and 28 in Howard Beach eclipsed the 1996 snows. All last winter, only 3.5 inches of snow fell in New York City, and yesterday's snowfall almost doubled the 25 inches recorded earlier this winter. "
